Release Notes -  SEP 2023

In this release, we’ve added Live Geo to the organisation settings. Here you can view, edit, add and delete specific drilling techniques, casing types, soil layer types and more, specifically for your business. Take a look.

Scott, Director @Magnetize

In this release

Now in the "Power ups" tab of the organisation settings, you can edit:

  • The default setting for auto-sending drill logs
  • Drilling techniques
  • Casing types
  • Clearance techniques
  • Refusal reasons
  • Soil layer types
  • Backfill layer types
  • Surface finish

Auto-send drill logs (default setting)

A handy new feature in Live Geo is the option to automatically send your customer a link to view the drill logs live, from the moment the first hole is logged.

In Magnetize, Administrators can already specify at a job-level if the Live Geo drill logs should be automatically sent, and now - to save switching this toggle ON/OFF for each job - you can set a default for your organisation.

If your organisation does want to automatically send customers the link to view drill logs in real time, then head over to the Organisation settings > “Power ups” > Live Geo and for “Auto-send drills logs” set the toggle on ON.

Drilling techniques

Now in the Live Geo settings, administrators can see a list of the drilling techniques available for your organisation (e.g. Open barrel, HQ, sonic, PQ diamond).

These are the options that will display in the Magnetize mobile app for your field teams to use.

You can edit or delete them at any time without affecting any drill logs already added. Simply click on the row to edit the title, or hover over the row and click on the “options menu” (three horizontal dots) to see the option to delete it.

You can also customise Live Geo with your own drilling techniques by clicking on the option at the bottom of the list to a add drilling technique. Too easy!

Casing types

Edit, delete and add new casing type options for your equipment.

Clearance techniques

Edit, delete and add new clearance techniques for your organisation and specify if they will be available for bore holes, CPT tests or both.

Refusal reasons

If your team needs to log CPT tests, you can edit, delete and add new refusal reason options here.

Soil layer types

Live Geo comes with a number of default soil types for your team to choose from when adding a soil layer log. Now you can manage these in the Live Geo settings, and even add new soil layer type by choosing from a library of pre-set soil layer images.

If you delete a soil layer type, the image will be added to the library, so it can be reused.

Please get in touch with us if you need more soil images. We may be able to custom add some your organisation.

Backfill layer types

Edit, delete or add new backfill layer types options (e.g. backfill gravel, filter gravel) using a library of pre-set backfill layer images.

Surface finish

And finally, now you can edit, delete or add new surface finish types so there'sso there’s a record in the Live Geo report of how the hole was finished. The default options include: flush toby, stand up toby and PVC stick up.

…. and more coming soon!

As we continue to upgrade Live Geo with new features, there will be more opportunities to further customise Live Geo for your business needs.

We’re keen to hear your feedback on Live Geo, and how it’s working for your business.
