Log your consumables and equipment used on a job - keeping track of everything, ready for billing.

Your team can log consumables and equipment from:

  • the Mobile app - while out in the field; OR
  • the Desktop app - back at the computer

Then, close and bill your jobs knowing exactly what was used.

Logging consumables in the Mobile app

On the job screen, tap on Add consumables to view consumables logged and keep track of quantities used. If the job was quoted, the consumables budgeted for will be displayed.

Add new consumables

If you need to pick up another load of timber, roll of tape, or other kind of material, you can keep track of these costs by tapping on Add new consumable. Then select the new consumable needed (from the ratebook) and set the quantity used.

Logging equipment in the Mobile app

From the job screen, see equipment scheduled. Tap on "0 hrs" to type in the total hours the equipment was used for on that day.

If you need to record partial hours, use decimal places (e.g. 1 hour 30 mins is 1.5hrs).

Managing consumables and equipment logs

Back at your computer, head over to the logs tab. Here you'll see all equipment hours, consumables and time logged by staff on this job.

Adding logs

If you need to add any consumables, equipment hours or staff hours on behalf on the team, you can do this manually by click on + add.

Billing logs

When you're ready to bill the customer, go to the Invoice tab. and all when you create a new invoice, all the logs recorded in Magnetize for that job will be displayed, ready for you to add to the invoice or ignore.
