With this release, organisations with Live Geo can now log backfill layers, piezo type/diameter and surface finish type from the Magnetize mobile app.

Now in Live Geo:

Logging installs from the mobile app

Now in Live Geo, your team can toggle between the (1) drill logs and  (2) install logs for a bore hole.  

Tap on the “add an install” button to add:

• Inclinometer depth
• Piezos screen depths and type/diameter
• Backfill layers and depths
• Surface finish type

Adding piezo type/diameter

As well as the piezo screen (top and bottom) depths, you can now specify the piezo type and diameter. The system default options include 30mm PVC, 50mm PVC and “other” and these can be customised for your organisation in the Live Geo settings. 

To customise your piezo type/diameter options, go to Organisation settings > Power ups > Live Geo. 

Adding backfill layers

In Live Geo, staff can now record what material(s) the hole was backfilled with and to what depth(s), so that there’s a record of it for the Live Geo report. 

It’s best do this once the hole is marked as “ended” in the mobile app.

By default, the following options will be available:

• Backfill gravel
• Cement Grout
• Bentonite
• K2 Filter Gravel
• Bentonite Grout
• Drilling Spoil
• "Other" - then can write in the notes

These can also be customised for your organisation in the Live Geo settings.

Adding a surface finish type

Lastly, staff can now record the surface finish type installed on a bore hole (e.g. PVC stick up, flush toby). The system default options can also be customised for your organisation in the Live Geo settings.

Viewing the install log report

Back in the Magnetize desktop application, install logs — including surface finish type, piezo screen depths, inclimeter and backfill layers — can be viewed in the table and in the visual logs graph on the right. They are also included in the Live Geo PDF report for customers.
